Some of My Projects
- Developed a planting design for a very large ‘English-style’ garden (almost 100 woody plants and 1000 perennials) Sourced all the plant material and positioned and oversaw all planting.
- Developed a three-acre master plan for the gardens at a new day center for frail elderly citizens of Addison County. The first phase of the installation, including a large planting of shrubs and perennials, was completed in 2004-5.
- Created a plan for gardens to surround a new town office.
- Designed a garden to provide wheelchair accessibility, around a yet-to-be-built house addition on a hillside. The resulting plan showed elevations and grades for the excavator and builder, plus the layout of new paths and terraced gardens.
- Designed a new hillside garden for a steeply-sloped in-town property. The resulting multi-level garden involved retaining walls and interweaving paths and steps. It was planted out with a mix of small trees, shrubs and perennials, designed to be viewed from both above and below.
- Created a master landscape plan for a large property, including patio, croquet lawn, paths, beds and vegetable garden, together with the detailed design and planting plans for the initial projects.
- Designed an inviting entrance courtyard, including the plan and installation specifications for the hardscape, plus the planting plan for the surrounding beds.
- Designed new foundation plantings for a large home. The resulting design involved enlarging and reshaping the beds to better balance the scale of the house, new stone steps for the primary entrance, and locating fully grown specimen plantings.
- Developed new garden plans for a number of area inns and Bed and Breakfast homes.
- Created a detailed planting design for an existing multibed landscape plan.
